Ok.. So why would you ever want to throw your knife? I get that question all the time. There are some very good times that you ABSOLUTELY need to throw your knife. Lets say you are attacked by multiple attackers, which is more likely then not, and you use your knife to dispatch the closest one, and you realize the second attacker who is say, 15 feet away from you is pulling a gun. Now, you have to cross that 15 distance to attack... Well.. Throw your knife at him as you rush toward the secont attacker... He will loose his concentration on you and have to turn his focus on your knife heading at him. Even if it hits him and doesn't stick, you have used it to close the distance and make a rushing attack. The element of surprise has allowed you to take the upper hand in your home self defense.
